The staff and client car park at SEGRO DHL offers 480 parking bays on three levels. All regular parking bays are sized 2.40 m x 4.80 m. Disabled bays offer more width and access is barrier-free. There are several E-charging stations on the top deck. Thanks to the column-free composite steel construction all levels appear wide and open. Coloured walkways guarantee safe exit to the staircases or the 10 person lift. The floors consist of an additive decking system with structural steel liner sheets. Stiffness of the structure is achieved by cross bracings and composite interaction between the decking and the galvanized steel superstructure. Balustrading mesh as infill is connected to crash barriers and handrails. The staircases are colour-coded in the client’s CI-colours. In addition, line marking and signage meets with the employer’s specific requirements. For fire safety, manual call points and sounders are installed at all staircases on each level. A lighting management system offers analogue daylight, movement and time clock control. All lights are energy efficient LED fittings.
